The city’s oldest residential neighborhood, Gramercy Park is
situated between Union Square and 24th Street, from Fifth to
First Avenues. Beautiful 19th Century townhouses fill the
streets, and those that surround New York City’s last private park are some
of the most sought after spaces in the world. Luxury high-rises and
renovated warehouse loft spaces also make up a portion of this quaint area.
Well preserved in its history, Gramercy Park also has all of the
conveniences of today and is attractive to both young professionals and
families alike. Beyond the private park itself, the area neighbors Union
Square and its wonderful open air markets, and includes Irving Place, home
to some of the most treasured taverns and restaurants in New York.
